International Crude oil Price of Indian Basket Declines to US$ 98.37/BBL on 07.06.2012


The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas slightly decreased to US$ 98.37/barrel (bbl) on 7.6.2012.This is marginally lower than US$ 98.59/bbl, on the last trading day’s figures 6.6.2012.

In rupee terms, also, the crude oil price was lower at Rs 5425.11 on 07.06.2012 as compared to Rs 5471.75 per bbl on 06.06.2012. This was due to decrease in crude oil price in dollar terms as also on account of rupee appreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 07.06.2012 at Rs55.15 /US$ against Rs 55.50/US$ on  6.06.2012.
