Vijay Bahuguna revealed that an Assembly Session would be conducted at Gairsen

New Delhi/Dehradun, 11 May:
Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna revealed that an Assembly Session would be conducted at Gairsen if not this year then definitely the next year.
Interacting with the media persons at Uttarakhand Niwas at New Delhi on Friday Chief Minister Bahuguna said "Even if we have to do anything for the arrangements, we intend to hold at least one Assembly Session at Garisen. However, the government will first discuss the matter with all the Assembly Members. Prior to it we will hold a Cabinet Meeting there".
Responding to a query on Mining, Chief Minister Bahuguna said that effective measures were being taken to check illegal mining in the state. "Arrangement for Electronic Surveillance is being made," he said adding that this would not only curtail illegal mining but also increase state revenue. He said that strict directives had been issued to the concerned officials to curtail illegal mining and if negligence would be found from any officer's side then stringent action would be taken against that person.
Answering to the question on flow of River Ganga, Mr. Bahuguna asserted that power would be generated maintaining the incessant flow of River Ganga.
Turning his gun towards previous BJP Government, Mr. Bahuguna said that the BJP Government, during the election time, had announced to constitute several districts without thinking pros and cons. Stating that State Government was serious towards development of border districts and remote backward areas he disclose that a high level committee has been constituted for comprehensive development of these areas. "The Committee will very soon submit the report pertaining to restructuring and only after this the government will mull over constituting districts," he said.
Also present in the press conference was Congress Spokesperson Dhirendra Pratap.
